NEED / PROBLEM
- Rising Digital Addiction Among Youth
- Low Digital Literacy & Awareness
- Gap Between Education & Digital Reality
- Online Safety Risks
- Unbalanced Digital-Life Integration
The DigRight project aims to develop a digital, innovative, and interactive tool (App) to assist teachers in preventing, identifying, and addressing digital addictions. It also seeks to enhance digital skills by leveraging the DigComp framework, empowering students to become digitally competent through engaging, gamified real-life scenarios.
The App will be supplemented by an Educational Kit, containing resources (lesson plans, activities and guides) for teachers in order to help them incorporate it into a real classroom setting.
By providing targeted, practical content on this topic, the project will raise awareness about the responsible use of technology and its potential risks—starting with teachers and extending to their students.
Temporada: 01/12/2024 - 30/11/2026
OBJECTIVE
• Develop an educational digital tool to enhance interaction and learning environments between teachers and students,
reflecting their actual learning needs, and strengthen the application of technology in the classroom to manage technological addictions.
• Enhance students' digital competencies and awareness about digital addictions, equipping them to identify and handle hazardous situations arising from improper technology use, thereby promoting safe and responsible technology usage.
• Improve teachers' knowledge of technological addictions and promote continuous teacher training in digital competences through DigComp.
• Approach the target groups of the project, in order to improve their knowledge about the technological addictions.
RESULT / IMPACT
Result 1: The first result is an APP, an educational tool which allows young people to identify the appropriate and inappropriate uses of technology and internet and to improve their online behaviour and become more digital competent
Result 2: The second result represents an educational KIT composed by a formative personalized itinerary, informative manual and methodological guide.
